Greene County high school students are proving that any place is a good place for art.
At the invitation of Cail Calder, owner of Bee Mindful in Scranton, art students painted nine hive boxes in designs of their choosing. Calder’s hope is that eventually FFA students will learn about beekeeping by maintaining a few of the hives, with the honey available to the Ram Restaurant.
Pictures of all nine hive boxes are now at Greene Bean Coffee in Jefferson. Calder and Rich and Reagan Osborne invite the public to take a look at the photos and vote for their favorite. All the boxes are on the trailer; examples of two of them are also pictured below.
At this point, per the request of art teacher Diane Kunzler, the winner of the voting will get nothing but bragging rights. The satisfaction of creating something that other folks enjoy is enough.
